Beyoglu hotels & places to stay

The location is unbeatable. It’s in a middle of the action but not in a super heavy traffic location like the old city. Taxim Square Metro is 200 meters away which is convenient. For a first timer in Istanbul like me, I usually used taxi to get to the old city in the morning and get back using metro while the traffic jam is congested in the afternoon. The doormen will assist to get the taxi and explain the destination to the driver. They also gave me a taxi card with the taxi number and also approximate fares to your location. Just in case the taxi wants to cheat you with the fares. For shopping there is istiklal street with farious shops, restaurants, cafes which open even after midnight. My deluxe room with sea view is big, with complete 5 stars amenities. Bed is super comfortable, bathroom is spacious with good water pressure. Do yourself a favor and book a room with bosphorus sea view. That morning and afternoon view from the room is priceless. Totally recommended

Everything was great except the use of the pool. I booked this hotel specifically because of its location and pool, but was not impressed when I arrived at the pool for a swim after a long, hot day of sightseeing and was told that both I and my husband had to wear a swimming cap to enter the pool, and of course this would cost us 10 TL. Having booked a 5 star hotel, I expected to be able to swim as I wanted or at least informed of the policy beforehand or should have been provided a cap rather than charged for adhering to their policy. When we asked the manager to provide us with an explanation of why, she said it was hotel policy but could not produce any written format of said policy !!

Although the hotel is listed as a five star, I see it as a regular 4*. Definitely staff should pass more training to reach the 5* level. However, it's one of the best location as walking distances to most of the attractions are possible. Close to the tram station and port as well. Breakfast is great, however for an 4* hotel if should have that 5* touch. Staff should be trained also to remove trails with leftover foods from the corridors, and not to expose it all day to the public. However, the overall impression is good and would recommend it to other travelers due to the great location, swimming pool, hamam, good breakfast and value for money (ca. 85eur per night).

I've stayed at many, many nice hotels in my life all over the world. The Vault Karakoy ranks up there with the best hotels I have ever stayed at. It is the perfect boutique hotel - 5 stars in every department in my book. Service, personal attention, friendliness, professionalism, beautiful, attention to detail, impeccable are all words that aptly describe this hotel and it's staff. We were traveling with a 2 1/2 year old and she thoroughly enjoyed the hotel as well because if the friendly staff. I highly recommend the terrace level rooms. Great layout and view of Galata tower from the private terrace.

This is a lovely hotel for a couple. We had a basic room with one double bed, and accommodations were clean, comfortable, and classic. Molton Brown bath products were also a major perk (love them)! You are a very short walk from the shops, restaurants and cafes of Istiklal, but an easy taxi ride to the sites of Sultanahmet (approx 10 TL). Staff did their best to accommodate our early check-in and late check-out requests, and were kind enough to make various local recommendations during our stay.

Hotel is like a business hotel so it's good for couples, business traveler and family with 1 child. Hotel location is great and close opposite Taksim and near taxi stand. Staff is very friendly and always ready to listen to us. Only weak point is the toilet which are tiny and have a glass sliding door which is not child friendly in my view. But other then that one thing, this hotel exceeds 4 star criteria and breakfast and amenities are great. Complimentary coffee can be found everywhere from lobby to room.

The hotel has a great location, it's 5 mins walk from tram station, Galata Bridge, Galata Tower, pier and the bar streets area. We stayed only one night, didn't really use any of the facilities. The only thing that's letting down a bit it's breakfast, quite a small selection, bread is not the best. Hope the hotel will improve their food quality, also the room service options.

Good location is the main reason why we picked this hotel, it being close to Taksim Square. It was listed as a boutique hotel and rated five star. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, this being our first visit to Istanbul. The downside- hotel lobby is very small, similar to lodge type accommodation. Multiple check in/out might be a bit crowded. Buffet breakfast was very limited in choices in terms of items served. Quality is average at best. No electric kettle/coffee mug in the room although electric kettle is available from housekeeping.

its good hotel and nice and the staff is great but they not speak English some of the staff ,. The furniture need to change bec its old . if you booking the hotel take care of the Electricity entrance like the phone changer most be you have plug from the tow line to three line ..if i can upload the pic i will upload but i cant in the comments .. i think with the price of this hotel i can get other hotel new style . be careful in the back of the hotel at night its drak so after 9 pm dont go out. the breakfast its nice but 5 days its seem breakfast they not change it ..

Despite all negative reviews related to the sound of the clubs that I have read about the hotel before I book, I have decided to go ahead with it. If you choose to stay in Istkilal road, then you should be fully aware that you will be definitely disturbed while trying to sleep at night. Simply, because there are many clubs in that area and there will be no difference choosing this hotel or any other hotel. You won’t get away from the noise! If this is a problem to you, choose another quite area. On the other hand, the hotel is very clean and the staff were very helpful with no exception. They all speak a very good English. Rooms are big compared to higher prices I have paid to hotels nearby previously. The location! What can I say! You would love it and will enjoy every step while walking in Istkilal road. Hundreds of cafes and restaurants around. Taksim Square is a three-minute walk and Galata Tower is at the end of the road. There’s no doubt that I will book this hotel again.

From its location (100m off Istiklal Street in the Pera area of Beyoglu) to the refreshed decor, this is an excellent resting point for every traveller to Istanbul. It is hard to accept that the hotel has been there since 1961 - modern renovations don't seem to show any of the old architecture (outside or in). The lobby is small (expected for an inner city hotel) but the room size and dining areas are abundant for the number of hotel guests. The one annoying thing is the door closing on each floors - something that all hotels need to work out. The noise at night when guests return at different times can be disturbing - especially if there are kids on a floor moving between two rooms. Breakfast is excellent. Variety and fresh. Should be tried by every guest at least once - if not each day. The Junction (restaurant of the hotel) is also good. We tried it for breakfast and dinner. Both outings were above satisfaction. Peak Hotel has become a top choice for my wife and I, for our future trip back to Istanbul.

When I asked to clean my rooms they changed the bed sheets but I found dirty on the pillow cover which is disgusting also when we asked for one hour more when we checked out because our flight was late they rejected and asked for 10 euro for one hour while we stayed 9 days and when we asked for one hour they asked for 10 euro which is really bad for a 5 star hotel I always travel and ask for more hour they even give me to 3 pm but for this hotel not even one hour which is really bad ,,although team was very helpful and I like the location everything near and also the very bad thing is that next rooms were too noisy you can hear everything they’re saying I couldn’t sleep from my neighbor snoring that’s how easy u can hear everything ..after all it’s a good hotel with a good location

Our first time in Istanbul, we were very pleased with our stay. Located on a quiet street about a five minute walk from the local tram station, The hotel is new in upgrades and room fixtures. We stayed in two different rooms a A deluxe king on the fourth floor and the Terrace room also on the fourth floor. Bathrooms are spacious and well appointed, beds are comfortable and the room is spotless. It is a short walk up a winding alley to reach Itsikali Street - a main shopping and dining area. Hotel itself is located across from the Italian Embassy, requiring entrance through a guardhouse. Very safe. The breakfasts are absolutely amazing! You can order off from a menu or and/or eat from the ample buffet spread. Fresh fruit, small pots of Turkish yogurt,nuts, artisan cheeses, salad - it was a delicious and healthy choice every morning. One of the best breakfast as we have ever had anywhere at any price, and included in our room. Steph was always very friendly and helpful with suggestions for touring ideas etc. hotel library contained hasA good selection of fiction and nonfiction books in English, as well as a high-quality choice of DVDs to play back in your room since Turkish television for western visitors is rather limited. For the price we did not get use from the Terrace room. It is located adjacent to the restaurant and so was not very quiet in the evenings. It is an amazing apartment however and if we intended to spend a lot of time in the room itself, perhaps we would've felt the extra investment justified.With the abundance of sightseeing and other opportunities in Istanbul, we didn't spend much time at the hotel. Tips: Landline telephone service from the hotel was not as good as using Skype over the free Wi-Fi provided. Our rooms had exotic bathtubs making this a good choice for a romantic stay.Taking the tram, one is about 10 minutes away from Taksim Square/Blue Mosque. All-in-all an excellent stay in a very interesting city, we will definitely be back.

The hotel is very cozy, the staff is kind and cooperative. Being raised in the neighbourhood, the always stylish Mr Anil at the reception gives great advice to places guests would unlikely find as a first time tourist. The staff seems to enjoy their jobs what creates a great overall atmosphere. Breakfast is delicious. The Georges Hotel Galata is located about 100 meters from the Galata tower, that can be seen from everywhere and it is an easy reference to find the hotel.
