Old hotel. I made my booking through AGODA for a 2 nights stay. Upon arrival, I had to wait a while for the front desk to sort out my booking. At last we were given a room on the 3rd floor. My wife and I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs (no elevator) with our luggage's to room no. 33. No windows. Wi-fi password, towels, soap & shampoo had to be ask, to be given.

Alor Setar is growing town with lots of history. The birth place of our famous ex Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed.

Close to Langkawi or can be considered a gateway from Kuala Kedah or Kuala Perlis. Can also consider making a trip to the southern towns of Thailand, Wang Lelian, Padang Besar, Danok or Hadyai.
