Where to stay in Ankara
Ankara hotels & accommodations
It is a great location, close to Ankara castle and museums, there is an impressive mosque just opposite the hotel. It’s close to bus station and a metro, the green and amusement park is just across the road. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Just one thing is breakfast, it is always the same: an egg, some cucumber and tomato, olives, and cheese. Also cornflakes...
I was surprised by poor language skills of hotel staff, considering the standard of the hotel. Some employees barely speak and even understand English. Apart from that I had en enjoyable time at the hotel.
The male staff opened my room door with just short knocking lucky that i was wearing my cloth at that moment. Everything else was satisfactory.
Comparing the rate for this hotel being a five star to other four star hotels in the area,it's definitely a wise choice to pick Rixos. The rooms are clean and comfy, the food is good, the staff are helpful and most importantly the pool is great. Not too many hotels have a pool in Ankara and in the summer with temperatures close to 40 degrees, it's so nice to have a poo...
The hotel is located in the heart of the city.It is next to the metro stationIt is also so close to the Ulus square. The rooms are nicely decorated.facilities of the room are good.We stayed in the business class room which is bigger than the standard rooms and it has also balcony. The breakfast was superb. It was high quality. You can easily reach Ankara Castle and Anatoli...
Swissotel Ankara is located on the poshest part of Ankara with an amazingly attentive staff. Yet, I was disappointed that I paid for an Executive Room to learn that there is no separate Executive Lounge than its communal cafe.
(+) Low price, location, wide variety of food in breakfast, easy autopark access. (-) Poor mainteinance, no water in minibar, nonstop noise coming from reservoir of bathroom, fusty interior furniture.
What i like during our stan in the Hiltonsa,Ankara number one is location then excellent city view. Cleaness is another good point for this hotel. Staff kindness is also excellent .we realy very much like this hotel during our stay.we strongly recommend this hotel for travellers.
Positives: Staff is quite cooperative although having English language issue but they tried their best to help out. As such No issues during our stay.. Recommended Hotel! Mr. Khan and Mr. Buraq are quite helpful
Excellent Services and Location nearby Ankara hotel. Its far from the downtown and hence have to travel alot if you want to explore the city. To take a transit flight and short stay it is strongly recommended.
this hotel is not close to anything but the big bus station, so it was perfect for our transit stop through turkey. The hotel was big, spacious and clean. It had really good facilities such as the pool, sauna and gym which. Downside is that you need to pay for wifi if you want it in your room, otherwise go down to the lobby.
This hotel is comfortable and in a good location. The buffet breakfast was good.
staffs were helpful and nice breakfast was nice but location was quite far away from Metro
Good value for the money. Economy rooms are too small, barely you can turn around next to the bed or the shower. Other rooms are more spacious . Better for couples or single people.
i booked a room for 3-bed in their hotel for one night. when arrived, i was surprised to see that all rooms are of the same size whether single, double, or triple. they fit three beds in the same room and charge lot more than single or double. i wanted to extend my stay for 12 hours. i asked their counter clerk to extend it, and he wanted more money than i booked it f...
There was a women who checked me in. she was very rude and the first room she assigned to me the window was a bay window and the locking had issue. the second room I was offered, the locking was working but the room smelled like some one just smoked a cigaret in that room. I took the room, and left the window open and the next day the smell was gone. When I was che...
Pros-Clean and comfortable rooms. Good location with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Cons- rooms are a bit small. Breakfast did not have much selection.
Love this hotel. Clean, spacious, friendly staffs, within walking distance to AnkaMall
The complementary water, tea , and coffee was only in the first day then the 2 days after they didn’t put anything to refill it. Rather than that everything was perfect
First of all This hotel is dirty, the toilet in the room is like the toilet in the cell for prisoners ( if you can imagine how awful) Secondly the guests that stayed in this hotel mostly noisy people they shout and talk on the phone and sing on the corridor of the hotel floor anytime, even it’s 3 am in the morning. Thirdly the staff doesn’t understand proper English if...
Overall the hotel is good! Room condition and service meet the expectation.
Rude staff!
Very nice and beautiful Hotel Good breakfast, near metro station Modern design، very comfortable
Kesinlikle tavsiye resepsiyon gökhana selam
not so special. not so bad
Great hotel with excellent staff and I mean from reception to parking every body was so helpfull also great breakfast would recomend to anyone
The hotel was great. Thanks for great stuff and thanks for the best service ever. It has been wonderful.
The staff tried their best to help us. They did more than what we asked for. They treated us like friends rather than customers. At first, I didn't like much about Ankara, but the Grand Sera Hotel made the trip to Ankara unforgettable.
The Receptionist (a women) was very friendly and also the only english speaking Person at this hotel. The rooms are equipped with a carpet, which I don't like, as it is difficult to clean. So the carpets are quite old already. The good thing at this Hotel is the swimming pool and the quiet location. The breakfat was turkish style and so far okay.
I'll stay again in Tunali Hotel on my next trip to Ankara

The staff was very friendly with all requests even though they could not speak much english, they may also be a little slow sometimes as they are elderly but they are relatively efficient. The hotel is old but the rooms were very well-maintained and very clean. There is also free tea provided throughout the day and transport to the hotel is free from the Bus and Tra...
During my stay, this hotel was under construction. The entire room set-up was poor. The location is across a few night clubs- too noisy. Location is unsuitable for customers looking for a place to rest after a long journey (like myself). I left the hotel a few hours from staying. The staff were very hospitable and tried to do their best to make up for my inconveniences...
Our stay at Mina 1 Hotel was overly pleasant, Hakar the front desk person was overwhelmingly supurb, very attentive. Assited us with any needs and questions we had. Friendly and caring staff. If I were to revisit Ankara in the future, I would definetly come and stay at Mina 1 Hotel again.

I booked a room in this hotel through the agoda.com website and when I arrived at the hotel they told me that they no longer work with this site and that they do not have an available room, after which I moved to another hotel, however they withdrew from my bank card, the amount which they did not provide with me.
Rooms are small, no car parking for hotel, average breakfast. Walls are thin you can hear the other voices during your stay. Nice decoration with old photos on the wall.
staffs were helpful and nice breakfast was nice but location was quite far away from Metro
The location was very good, close to Ulus Square and Ulus station. The manager was very friendly and the room was very clean and pleasant. Terrace breakfast was also excellent.

It’s central n from here walking distance to cafe and mosque. Staff are very helpful. It’s an old hotel but clean and most basic necessities were provided.
Couldn't agree more on the location, strategically in Kizilay District. However, below are my disappointment point of view on this hotel: 1. Feels like you are back in 90's. Wardrobe & bed needs to be changed. Small bathroom and very small shower section 2. POOR BREAKFAST! This is one of my major upset about this hotel. Very2 basic, no bread toaster, malfunction coffe...
We had a great time while staying at Anemon Ankara. It was clean and the quality was beyond our expectations. Breakfast was good. The Hotel is 10 minutes walk to the Kizilay Square, and very close to many bars. Ms. Devrim was very helpful at the front desk and gave us a great room to enjoy our stay.

I couldn't have chosen a better hotel for my stay in Ankara. It is a lovely little boutique hotel. The staff are very attentive, the hotel is modern, lots of space in the room (we had a suite), and it was very clean. It is located on a busy street, but our room was at the back
Not worth the price, out of order elevator, changed 4 rooms before settle in my room, safe or fridge or phone did't work in every one of rooms I sent to before settling in the 4th room.
I stayed here with my wife and 2 small children. The location is in the middle of nowhere, very far from the city. They charge extra money for using the swimming pool. The pool was the main reason why I booked this hotel. I will never stay here again!

Was in Ankara for business and will only stay in the hotel to sleep so Dafne is enough. You get what you pay for. Location is good. It is near a mall, a taxi stand is in front and near to the conference center. Buffet breakfast is actually good. Nothing fancy but enough. As in other hotels, it is the same everyday. Room is not as clean as I would like it to be but it i...

The location was very good, close to Ulus Square and Ulus station. The manager was very friendly and the room was very clean and pleasant. Terrace breakfast was also excellent.
The hotel is located in a central area with restaurants and shopping areas around. The metro station is right across the road which can take you all over the city easily.

My visit to Ankara was just to get married, so had to go to US Embassy and another one as well for my Fiance.
Ankara cannot hold a candle to Istanbul so do not expect much at all. Ulus is cheap but a little sleazy, Kizilay is nicer to stay as more food options but limited real restaurants.
A must visit is the castle. They are doing up the old town within the castle walls, some good shopping for nic naks here - did find a lovely jeweller across from main gate who produced replica jewellery reasonable price so you don't need to wait for the gold Souke in Dubai .
A fascinating city: a whirl of sights and colours. "Musts" - Museum of Anatolian Civilisations: Ethnographic Museum: Citadel and old town.
Basically an administration centre for the great country of Turkey. Besides that and probably business, there's nothing much to do, see or experience.
