Foshan hotels & places to stay

We booked 3 rooms at this hotel but when we got there we were told that only one room was available and had to wait for the other 2 rooms. Fortunately, the hotel manager was there to upgrade our rooms to 2 suite rooms which we readily accepted. The hotel was one of the best we have stayed in China, nice grand lobby, and great Chinese restaurant on the 2nd flr. The rooms were clean and big, clean shower and all had free internet access. location wise, very convenient as the food alleys and shopping areas were within walking distances. Famous dessert shop and local delicacy in Shunde was about 10 minutes walk . (turn left from main lobby) night food stall also about 10 minutes walk (turn right from hotel lobby) The concierge was also very helpful when we had to hire a van to take us to Guangzhou. All the front desk staff were able to speak English so that's a plus for English speaking travellers. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, business, leisure etc.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at this hotel and this was my hubby’s email to the hotel management: We checked into your hotel recently and stayed 3 nights in it, from 15th to 18th November, 2018. Although my wife and I had visited China many times, our trip to Foshan was our maiden trip. I would like to say that your hotel is the best we had experienced in China, from arrival service to room service and your breakfast. However, your hotel particularly stood out in terms of services by your staff members. In this respect, I would like to mention to you that your staff, Raymond was the most impressive. When we needed help to send our shopping stuffs back to Singapore, he went all out to ensure that we would get the best, most reliable and competitive carrier. I could observe he spent a lot of time patiently trying to search for a trustworthy and competitive carrier to do the job. Eventually we settled with using SF Express to do the job. Most importantly, he followed up with my wife

I was looking for a hotel in china that was the closest to five stars I could find. I really dread china hotels bc they usually are really dirty and don't have hot water, etc. The Wyndham is definitely good enough to hit all the points I needed. I picked a hotel a little further from the South Rail (it's about 20-25 mins by taxi) but it was well worth it since this place is large, staff helps you with things, and the room is spacious and clean. Also there is a mall next door to eat and stuff and it made my commute very easy. I stayed here a night commuting from the rail to my next destination. Good choice.

Hi - I actually live in Foshan but I needed to break up my business trip with some western culture so I booked into the Swissotel ! Well from the minute I arrived you would have thought I had stayed there 100 times - Staff were very attentive, could not do enough for me - upgraded me to a suite ( for a modest fee ) and that's where i stayed for 3 nights ! - Food / Restaurants/Exec Club excellent ! - Young Lady called Miss Season in restaurant was so attentive and helpful - Miss Penny had the restaurant organized and functional - again she was extremely attentive and helpful The staff in the executive club were probably the most helpful i have even met in any club around the world - well done ! All in all I would recommend this hotel highly to any business traveler visiting Foshan - prices are reasonable - food is good - accommodation great but above all the staff are some of the best i have ever encountered in any Chinese Hotel - Well done and keep up the good work See you soon !

The InterContinental in Foshan was the nicest hotel I stayed so far in China, top service - friendly and well trained, very well designed and modern rooms, good breakfast in a spacious restaurant, a lobby bar with proper cocktails and finger food, and so on... Sadly I only got to stay half a night (very late check-in), wished I had more time to enjoy and explore the amenities. After all, I'm absolutely satisfied and will book the InterContinental again on my next visit.

I was initially hesitant to reserve a non-international hotel in China. However, after reading all the reviews, I decided to take a chance because of this hotel's location. I made a good bet. The hotel is very nice and the facilities are better than most 5-Star hotels. We are from California and when we ask for non-smoking, we mean non-smoking. This hotel's non-smoking rooms are all on 10th floor and they are truly non-smoking. The hotel is beautifully designed with great taste, emphasizing on architecture of Southern China. Everything was elegant and thoughtful. Below are the pros and cons: Pros: Clean rooms, good beds, great location (pedestrian street behind the hotel and next to Qinghui Garden), dim sum option for breakfast (2 dishes per person + buffet items, we also ordered more dim sum from the menu) Cons: 10th floor non-smoking rooms don't have balconies (don't know why, does this mean non-smoking people don't deserve to have a balcony?), no map available for the area (this is really what frustrated me, how can a concierge have no map?) The big items of this hotel are fantastic, and in many ways better than a lot of 5-star international hotel in China. There are just a few minor things that need adjustment. I'd definitely recommend this hotel in Shunde for foreigners.

This was my first stay at the Ramada Plaza Shunde. My initial impression was very good. The doorman was prompt in getting my bags. The reception staff were quick in processing my booking with no issues. As my arrival was at the end of a long trip I decided to go and have a drink in the foyer bay before heading up to my room. Unfortunately, the bar staff were very, very slow. They took awhile to notice me. When they did take my order i watched as 4 or 5 other orders were taken and served before I got my drink. I ordered and Gin, Tonic and Lime and got lemon instead. When I pointed this out to the bar staff they informed me that the bar didn't stock lime. For a bar in an international hotel i thought this was a little odd. Thankfully, they had a fantastic "band" playing which kind of took the edge of my frustration. After my drink I went up to my room to find my bags had been brought up and placed on the luggage rack. The room was an executive room and was one of the best rooms I have evr stayed in. ll of the amenities were clearly and correctly labeled and were close at hand. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great. I slept like a baby. The following morning I went up to the executive lounge for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with a good selection of hot and cold, western and asian food. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, which is nice first thing in the morning. That evening I went back to the bar to listen to the band again and was again thoroughly disappointed with the level of service provided by the staff. If not for the band I wouldn't have bothered sticking around. The following morning I had to check out at 5am to catch my flight home. When I went downstairs to check out I found that as breakfast was included in my booking the staff had arranged a take away breakfast for me. I will definitely be staying here again

One of the most famous hotel in Foshan, most of the taxi driver know about this hotel. Reserve room without breakfast, the hotel served very good Dim Sam (Chinese Dumpling)at Food Street Restaurant or Pavilion Court during breakfast, the buffet beakfast coffee house is normal 4 star hotel standard. The room are clean but look a little old. Service is good check in and check out is fast. Should try the massage at Fitness Center, one of the best in Foshan and very safe as operated by hotel and no hanky-panky.

Every time we come to Foshan, we stay at this business hotel. The exterior looks great though some rooms need renovation. The hotel does not have nightclub, no swimming pool, no sauna room, no laundry machine and no fitness centre ( maybe they have but very difficult to find ?? ); yet it is still very ok because of the cleanliness and price. We will definitely come back.
