Xian hotels & accommodations

This is the best hotel in xian, it has English speaker that not that much xian ppl can speak English and for for the location is near by downtown which has a lot of good stuff around there. Then for the service is excellent. I would like to recommend this hotel if you would like to stay in xian.

The hotel is out of the way from the major attractions and far from the subway and restaurants. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom beautiful, spacious apartment. The concierge Shi Yada was seriously the best hotel employee that I Have ever had the pleasure of Dealing with. Helpful, smart, witty and spoke perfect English, which for us was a huge bonus. I would go back to this hot...

This hotel is located 150m from the Xian Station forecourt, where buses for Mt. Hua (60cny return)and the Terracotta Warriors (bus no's 306 or 915, fare 7-8cny each way) leave from. The long distance bus station, Mr Lee(very clean and cheap Chinese eatery), KFC and Mc Donalds is 100m away and Mc Café is over the road. Next door is a 24 hr Chinese eatery, very clean and...

Top class hotel in XiAn. Though it is sligltly out side the main city location, but around 10 mins walk you should be able to reach the city location and some of the main attractions. Many good restaurants within the hotel. Well equipped Gym and other facilities like Spa, hair saloon, travel agency and other shops within the hotel. Hotel room is outstanding and staff a...

One thing which strikes us most during this stay in Novotel Xinqiao was the exceptional service from the staff at the concierge desk. Two male staff, particularly Lee, helped us a great lot in booking a tour in China. When we approached them, they even went to the extend of using their own phones and accounts to help us, ensuring we are able to book the tour as we did ...

We were super lucky to stay at the Angsana just three days after the Hot Spring Opened. Aside from the wonderful experience at over 25 indoor and garden hot pools each with vegetation screens around, we were super overwhelmed by the service! We were treated one-on-one, whenever we enter a pool, one staff will come over to refill warm drinking water. Whenever we leave a...

I had a wonderful stay at the Gran Melia Xian Hotel. To my surprise I received an upgrade to the "Red Level" floor which comes along with beautifully decorated and spacious rooms, extraordinary service by the staff (I would like to point out the literally stellar service of Stella) and many exclusive amenities. Xi'an is a must-see and the Gran Melia hotel is the place ...

The accommodation in the Bell Tower Hotel in Xian was exceptional. The rooms were a good size, clean and well serviced. The room was air conditioned, tea and coffee facilities were provided, and it had a balcony which overlooked the “Bell Tower”, which is a famous Tourist Spot. The staff were obliging, able to assist with questions about the area, as they could speak E...

The hotel is not located along the main road, so will require guests to walk down the smaller road to access it. Overall, we are very satisfied with the hotel because of the exceptional service rendered here. Hotel staff are very courteous and prompt in providing assistance and follow-ups. Users of computers with heavy security features (e.g. company laptops) may hav...

We just arrived xian at midnight the airport was less people and most of store has been closed. The location is 2nd floor from the gate of arrival, please find the elevator to up. The staff is very good, even he gave us the swèet room , instead of deluxe type.. it was very nice room, big, made us very comfort time, since we are leaving the hotel morning to xian down...

Although location might not be the best but the hotel staff service was excellent ! Very helpful in trying to help us resolve matters with the local cab company when my sister left her phone in the cab. Did not expect to be able to retrieve the same but attitude of the hotel staff made the incident much bearable. There was a game room with Daytona, basketball, snooker ...

This hotel is seconds away from the main square in Xian so provides excellent access for the bell tower, drum tower and the city wall. Hotel was clean, room was spacious and the reception had English speaking staff. My only minor complaint is when we asked for a taxi to be booked, the reception said they couldn't do this. No idea why as every other hotel we stayed at ...

Stayed here for one saturday night on a weekend break in Xi'an. The staff were really helpful and attentive. We had a Club Room so you expect a little luxury and i wasn't dissapointed, the room was massive and immaculate. The buffet breakfast was wonderful, this is not the hotel to choose if you are on a diet. The only downer is the location. Tt's too far to walk from ...

very friendly staff, with good size rooms and nice restaurant. undoubtedly the best thing about the hotel is its location just outside the one of the main gates to xian and within walking distance of several of the major attraction. i would be happy to stay there on another visit.

I had absolutely the best experience at this hotel. Couldn’t fault it. After getting off a long 13 hour train ride I was ready for a nice room and it didn’t disappoint. Great large comfortable room with big open bathroom. The service was also outstanding. The girls behind the desk were more than helpful. All of them. Also hotel is situated in a great part of town near...

Sheraton Xian Hotel is conveniently located near the 600-year-old City Wall, adjacent to the West Second Ring Road, and close to the city center. It’s just 35 minutes from Xian Xianyang International Airport (XIY). The hotel offers free breakfast at the lounge and free upgrade from Deluxe to Club Executive room for SPG Platinum members. The reservation staff was helpfu...

I was very impressed with this hostel from checkin to checkout. Staff is very friendly and speak English. You get clear directions to the hostel sent to you. We stayed in a double bed private and it was only $25 a night but was the best room weve stayed in in china. Spacious and clean. They even have daily housekeeping, something we havent seen in Chinese hostels. The ...
Cheap places to stay in Xian

The staff at the hostel were really friendly and spoke good English, they even booked us a taxi to the train station when we were leaving. The sky bar on the 12th floor is great and the staff in there were really nice and the food was ok. Only downfall was the room was stinking of cigarettes when we arrived and it was freezing cold, the heater didn’t work very well but...

I had been missed my train so I found this hostel and direct booked. It said only 6 bed dormitory and I thought it was mixed but it's female dorm. Located near Xi'an Drum Tower and Quarter Muslim just walk 10 mins. They provide sandals, toilets are clean, even so staff couldn't speak English fluently but we communicate easily. Just two things minus for me : * The rece...

Near to MRT station, just beside the station. Walking distance to Muslim Quarter, Bell and Drum Tower. The MRT is to Xian North Station where you can take High Speed Train to Huashan, Luoyang, Zhengzhou etc. Hotel is clean and staff is very helpful. Although they advertise as hote, actually it is not a hotel. It is just stay in one apartment with other , located on 8th floor. Not give full facilities. Although they advertise aircon facilities, they keep the aircon remote ,don't give us and just open the window. If you can't give , why did you advertise that facilities? Really disappoint. Never stay at there again!...

A good find in the Muslim quarter, the location was fantastic. The staff were good, the lobby was a great space and the rooms were a decent size. For backpackers this is brilliant and under any other circumstances I would have given it full marks . However, I am shortly going home to UK after 6 months in China and had a 25 kg suitcase to carry around. There is no lift ...

We stayed at Zergs for four nights and really liked it. We got delayed on a very long bus ride from Chengdu, and missed our first night and they did not charge us. We also got a lovely room with two beds, but asked for "the big bed" we saw in the photos, and they switched us to one. The room was just lovely with a thin mat on a huge cement platform (get the western ...

Great value and atmosphere, thoroughly recommend, in my top two hostels that I have visited in China along with the Lost Garden Guesthouse in Kunming (I have clocked up 10 years in China, including working as a guide). A note about Xi'an, as with most things in China get up early to appreciate Xi'an. In the Tang Dynasty this city (called Chang'an) was the biggest city ...

This place was hard to find. You would need to call them to have them direct you to the right place. Felt like they could do a better job in giving instructions to find the place upon booking, but they never engaged me at all. If I didn't have a china SIM card, to be honest, I'm pretty sure I would never be able to find this place because I can't call them. It's near a...

This was a NIGHTMARE place to find as the cab driver and several people just did not know where this place was. We resorted to going to an expensive hotel and asking directions as they could speak English. We were there during the week long National holiday as the rooms were seriously over priced. The guy working there was ok but spoke no English, so had to get another...

The building of the hotel is quite old. the staff don't speak english but they are quite friendly n willing to use app to translate and help you. location is just outside of the city wall. bus transport is easy from here. just walk less than 400m or so to a bus stop. the Air conditioning works but during autumn when it hits 0 or less, it is not sufficient so you will s...

We had a wonderful time in this simple palace. The warmth of the owners and their advices to make the best out of this trip, without forgetting the cosiness of the rooms and the nice rooftop to relax. This is a great location to discover Xian. It will be a pleasure to come back and we will surely recommend to our friends.

Call Hotel after baggage retrieval for pick-up at 12 AM -- need to provide : Terminal 2, Terminal 2nd Floor and Door Exit Number. Hotel van arrived within 10 minutes. Extremely convenient for short overnight stay. Very clean room at low price. Hotel owner made taxi arrangement (30rmb per person) to go directly into Xian City Center the next morning. Airport Shuttl...

This was a great hotel in xian. The owner and his daughter are so kind and helpful. They pick you up from the airport for free and we're always there when we needed them. The daughter showed us around the area, which has tons of street food and some markets. It's only 5 minutes from the airport and about one hour from the city center. They can help arrange transportati...

We had a most wonderful stay in XiAn thanks to the wonderful host. Help us with transport arrangements and took us around the city for a day and send us to airport at very reasonable rate. Highly recommended for one who want an easy and relaxing time in XiAn.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We have been to three jinjiangs throughout China and this one was by far the best. Shopping centre across the road is very big. Located near a lot of shops. Okay Internet connection in the lobby. This was very good value for money.

The rooms are reasonably clean but I found the bed a bit hard. The sound of traffic is a constant. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. The restaurant doesnt offer small meals. All dishes seemed to be family size. I think that inbetween main meal times the restaurant should consider selling coffee, tea and cakes and give guests the chance to chill out, rea...

Hotel location is the closest I can find that is close to both the Xian North Fast Speed Train and the airport. From the North train station we took the metro ( 2 yuan) to the 5th station, then caught a taxi about ( 8-10 yuan) metered taxi to the hotel. Once we arrived we were greeted with smiles and warm welcomes, make us feel very comfortable even tho the hotel is no...

the location was good as it was close to metro and buses out side of door it is well situated for tourist attractions and there is a superb supermarket virtualy in same building the owner was so helpful in finding us directions bus numbers to get around nothing was too much for him definately would stay again

Great location situated in the old town where all the attractions are. Cool decor with modern Chnese vibes. No TV or desk or wardrobe which is a bit inconvenient if you are staying more than 3 days. The hotel pets are cute & add a certain charm to our stay. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

We are backpackers who were given a free upgrade to this hotel due to some booking issues. We checked in maybe half an hour after the booking was made with zero issues. So we were pretty thrilled with how spacious our twin room was and the luxury of having more than one pillow and a fairly comfortable bed. There was a TV, desk, wardrobe and a mini fridge. We had a pri...

The hotel and the staff were great. The breakfast was good, a fusion of "American" and Chinese fare. The staff were helpful, occasionally they had to find the person with the best English, such as when we wanted to get a cab to the Terracotta warriors and airport but they were always accommodating. The location was relatively nice and quiet. Unfortunately there wasn'...

overall, hotel is decently well maintained, valued for money especially for biz traveller who only need to spent time having desired rest, and not staying long inside the room for comfort. however room does provide comfy armchair and serves small 2 person meeting well. room are spacious and able to acommodate small family purpose. location is well positioned, within t...

This place is beyond our expectations. Convenient location but not too crowed. Subway station is steps away. Ten mins to bell tower. The room is very clean. Comfy and luxury. I just love the bathroom. I think the owels they used there were from luxury brand, much softer and comfy than any other hotels that we have ever been.Food there is reasonably priced, some food is...

This hotel is a hidden gem in the middle of a busy international city. It's award winning build is tasteful and sensitive and from the entrance foyer to the bedroom, it's decor is rich and traditional. The quiet, large central garden with pool, koi, peacocks, swans and ducks adds to its tranquillity. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the service and food fa...

This hotel is a full notch above the average Xian hotel. Many other hotels rate themselves as four star and are really only three. This is a very clean property, a good breakfast buffet, a nice indoor swimming pool, and a beautifully designed lobby.

Hotel is close to Bell Tower and the City Wall. The buffet breakfast offered a lot of Western and Chinese dishes and I think RMB 98 pp is reasonable. As my family of 4 only has one and a half day in Xian, we asked the hotel to book a taxi to took us for a whole day tour to Terracotta Warriors, Li Shan and Hua Qing Chi. The driver was great and took us to try the local ...

In general the staying was nice. a minor problem with the small nails that hold the carpet which was fixed when I asked very quickly. Breakfast was nice and the location of the room was also nice. the room coffee and sugar was very poor and there was no water in the fridge and I had to ask to it. the location not very far from the wall only a short distance which I do...

Room great - very big, very comfortable bed & all amenities you would expect. Bathroom fantastic - shower could fit 4! Visited the Western restaurant one night & the food was good & not too expensive for a hotel. Staff were great on all occasions - most spoke English. Only two criticisms: the WiFi didn't work for the duration of my stay & the location is quite far from...

Most helpful staff at a hotel I've come across in my entire stay in China. One guy stood out the most, unfortunately didn't get his name but he was extremely helpful from giving suggestions on what to do for the day, to arranging transportation and providing adequate info for us to catch bus's on our next leg of our journey's. Good location being right in front of a...

I stayed here for two nights. No staff speak English, internet issues, food poor, aircon doesn't work (seemed like cost savings), the charged me for breakfast even though it was included but after 25 minutes of trying to explain their error I gave up and paid. I wouldn't stay again

Gaoxin district is definitely away from the city area, so it's not suitable for travellers whom are visiting Xi'an for tourism visits. However, I was there for work purposes, so the location of the hotel was excellent, convenient for food, shopping area (high end brands though). Staff was very helpful when I needed to call for a taxi to rush to the train station, staff...

My Wife And I stayed at Grand Park Xian hotel during our 3 day Trip to Xian. The location is perfect.Walking distance from The Ancient city Wall And local restaurants. It was my first business trip stay at this hotel. When I checked in, I was welcome by very friendly staff Summer 夏秋 with her great service and smile. this hotel is a huge hotel with a lot of facilities for business gatherings and conferences. but it can also be appreciated by tourists. it is far away from the city center of xi'an but once you are in the hotel you are indulged in luxury and comfort. the rooms are very spacious and offer a lot of comfort. hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull and speaks english ve...

The pool, jacuzzi, and workout facilities were gorgeous. The FOOD was wonderful and all the restaurants were really hip. I’m actually already booking home stay in Xian via Airbnb but after I see the room condition, I decide to look for a hotel... I had find at least 6 Hotel, travel by didi, spent at least 3 hours to find it... this hotel is the best location for traveller

Location was great, close to subway and eating street. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The room look great, clean and neat. Wifi works good as well. The only thing not good is the drainage system in the bathroom, always clogged and water unable to drained causing the bathroom full of water. Overall, I'm satisfied with the accommodation.

The room was wonderfully clean and spacious with good views through the two windows. It is in a new part of town and most of the shops are still being built so there were no bars and very few restaurants. One drawback was there was no fridge otherwise it was worth the money.

We had a most wonderful stay in XiAn thanks to the wonderful host. Help us with transport arrangements and took us around the city for a day and send us to airport at very reasonable rate. Highly recommended for one who want an easy and relaxing time in XiAn.

great city with great ancient history - xian ancient wall, drum tower and bell tower, grand mosque, terra-cotta, etc.
Frankly speaking I didn't have so much info about Xi'an before. The main reasons I went there is the historical Great Mosque and Muslim Quarter.
Xian is the an ancient capital of China and is endowed with many great historical places to visit. You can also see how the Muslims live harmoniously in this area besides the many Buddhist, Taois and other religions, right in the centre of the city surrounded by its ancient wall.
This is a great tourist city. The local people are very friendly and helpful and loves to share things about their city.
Only place worth going is Huashan, try spend 2 days there. The rest of the historical places is too brief and superficial.
My advice is start at the museum then do the sights, there is little you can saw about the warriors other than stunning but to first understand everything else around the town make it even better
A big sprawling metropolis. A long drive to the airport... 85klms. Grey and hazy atmosphere. However, there is plenty to see including the Terra Cotta Warriors, the Pagodas in the centre of the city and of course the Muslim Quarter.
Chinese old capitals for over thousand years. We have tayed 4 nights and missed lots of attractions. I believed you need at least two weeks to see them all.
If you visit Xian, you have to make a trip to the terracotta army to see for yourself! Hua Shan is another sightseeing spot worth visiting! Awesome!
It's a very foreign friendly city. There are so few foreign friendly cities in China. Many people can speak English here.
Xian is a wonderful city. To cycle the wall to get a view is a must as well going on a guided trip around the city.
Xian is a fantastic historical town worth many visits. Just like the wordless pavilion of Wu Zetian emperor, it is difficult to find a suitable word to describe the rich historical fortune of Xian
get a guide whenever you can afford or else you have no idea what you are looking at as there is no audio guide available except at ShaanXi Museum.
Only the Terracottas were worth a visit. The rest of the sights are similar to what you would see in the rest of china
join a tour to mount hua, it is a day trip that can come back the same day. also visit the xian wall, it is historical building that must visit.
Nice place for local cheap food and local made products, attractions are easily accessible, very cheap transportation, locals are not friendly at all, night air is too polluted, very little English speaking, very safe because of frequent police presence, beautiful night lights.
Full of history and culture, this is the one place in China that has to be visited. its not too big, in fact you could walk all around the walled city within a day or two.
It is very worthwhile to visit all historical places nearby xi an. It has more than. 3000 years culture.
Only one thing is the taxi drivers choose passengers and will only go the place that they want to. They are super unfriendly.
Xian is an ancient city very rich in Chinese history, esp. the ancient Emperors. You need to do some research into it's original existence to appreciate it's history before your visit there.
I would like to recommend you to stay for sight seeing one day only. It is too difficult to get taxi.
Do visit Tang Dynasty, pagoda, bell and drum tower, muslim street, terra cotta warriors, hot springs, laser show on fountain
Enjoyable place with great food and shopping. Pagodas are great and buses and subway very convenient.
Difficult to communicate with the locals as the english language is not widely spoken. Lovely places to visit.
Xian is a destination city - for sightseeing. a must do for all Travelers and its not expensive with a wonderful and proud history the people's attitude reflect this.
Since the railway is just opened to public in recent years, only two railway lines were in place and provide service.
Xian is a delightful city, clean and very friendly. The city itself is dotted with tranquil parks, but parks that are used daily by the people of Xian for tai qi, exercise and pleasure.
Before I went to Xi'an,I had heard that the local food there is very special and worth having a try,and because the Alley hostel is very near to the famous food street in Xi'an,which is called huimin street,it's really convinient for me to go there to taste the local food of Xi'an,and that's really good and delicious1!!
xian is the city, where you can found muslim community easily in this town, for muslim it could be easier to find halal food as well to see muslim from different country and culture.
Xian is a thriving city with all modern facility and at the same time has a lot of historical sight seeing place .

Uncover the Best Time to Experience Xian
When planning a trip to Xian, timing can significantly enhance your experience. The best times to visit are during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is pleasantly mild. During these months, you can enjoy comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring outdoor attractions like the Xi'an City Wall and the Cuihua Mountain. Summer can be quite hot, with temperatures soaring above 30°C (86°F), while winter can bring chilly weather, but the city is less crowded, allowing for a more intimate experience.
Local festivals also add a vibrant touch to your visit. The Qinling Wild-life Zoo hosts various events, while the International Horticulture Exhibition showcases the region's stunning flora.
