Zhongshan hotels & places to stay

This was the best hotel for its value of our entire Asia trip. I think it's a business hotel, but we saw many families here too. It was brand new, spacious and the staff was very accommodating.The front desk and housekeeping staff were very professional. The breakfast was great, although being a coffee lover, I have to admit I went next door to the cafe for fresh ground and brewed coffee : ) Very modern and clean decor, which was more of my taste, so don't expect flashy-fancy like many other high end China hotels. Well furnished and comfortable. Needless to say, I was very impressed.

Overall the hotel is clean and nice interior. The staffs are very helpful. The only thing for the hotel will living up to the standard expected from Hilton group. They need to ensure minor details like preparing a proper latte drink since the guest are paying for a cup of latte under Hilton price. I ordered twice but a bit disappointed with the taste and suppose to hot cafe latte but warm or cold. Lastly the gym was great with the equipment but no sanitize spray or towel for guest to wipe before and after use. Lastly no gym towel provide for guests. Finally the hotel is well design and value for money.

This is a 4 stars hotel, staff quite friendly, room is very big. I'm staying in the deluxe king room. room have balcony but you can't go out as it is locked. room is also very clean and come with all the amenities you need. location wise is good, opposite the holiday plaza where you will find park and shop supermarket and wide varieties of different restaurant and shops. The hotel is a little bit of distance away from the long distance bus from hong kong,shenzhen, zhuhai etc. you can however take the num 38 bus to the long distance bus station. Breakfast however is not very good, lt8 some noodles, vegetables etc. a very typical chinese buffet. The hotel is actually very good, room is fitted with luxury decorations. lobby look grand. problem is only guest would smoke everywhere including restaurant, lift or anywhere. but this is china and everyone smoke everywhere regardless of no smoking sign so not a hotel problem but guest problem.

We had a pretty good stay at Xiaolan Town Zhongshan hotel. The location is very good with everything close by and the breakfast buffet is very comprehensive. The room was well appointed although nothing amazing. The only issue was that we were travelling with my 1 year old and was told there was no baby crib and we were only able to receive a twin bed room, making it awkward for the baby to sleep. Anyway, overall I was pretty happy with the hotel and would have no problem staying there again next time we visit.

Overall is a famous hotel brand standard is there, room is big and comfort. Check in is a bit slow. During my booking on 24Aug15 in Agoda website, it shows that the package I booking shows "Deluxe room - sneak away", and in the description shows "Delightful package: Room rate includes daily 2 buffet breakfast, 2 theme buffet dinner, internet." When checked in hotel, the staff told me that the package i booked is sneak away with no buffet dinner. I shown the staff the screenshot i took during booking what shows in agoda website. After checking the staff honored the terms in the description. However, later on the front staff approached me again that only the "delightful package" includes buffer dinner but not the sneak away package. However,based on the website i booked thru from agoda is shows in description. I am not sure who update the description in the agoda website but is really misleading for customer when booking the room.They should update the correct information in description. After that Sheraton insisted to take away our buffet dinner on the second day as we are already half way eating buffet dinner on the first day. Basically I do not mind about not having the free buffet dinner but I felt that Sheraton such big hotel do you really need to insist to take away our dinner. However, based on the agoda website i booked sneak away pacakge with description updated on another package, very misleading.

An average hotel with average service from staff who couldnt care less ! Breakfast was nice good selection asian and western but opening time may vary based on staff attitude of the day ! check in always slow and cumbersome have stayed here 3-4 times or more , cant say check out is any better really. location is good middle of everything...room nice big comfy pillows are huge so not so great for your neck ! shower huge is ways best part good water pressure ! the shower cubicle was nearly as big as my HK hotel room ....and the shower room was 6 meters x 3 meters ...outstanding value as a good shower makes for a happy guest! wish they had english satalite TV though or some western movies ?

This Hotel California is good. Do not deceive by the look as the hotel looks real run down with a small receptionist. However it was compensated with a very courteous receptionist and newly renovated room. WIFI is also very good. The hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of Sanxiang centre. The only complaint will be lack of information of the availability of window during booking. The room that I had is without window which is quite common in China. Therefore, please do state in hotel room condition.

Booked the room through agoda. Transaction go through and fully charged. When we arrived the hotel to check in, hotel said no reservation record. Due to all standard room was fully booked the Reception noticed the manger and gave us a free upgrade to an executive room. Overall experience was fair. At the end we just aim to have a room to stay but not looking for upgrade.

This hotel is located at Shiqi Residential Area. It is very near the Sun Wen Xi Lu Pedestrian Street - about <10 mins of leisure walk. I took a bus from Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou to Zhongshan. The intercity bus stopped at the Summit Hotel. From the Summit Hotel, take a 10-minute taxi ride to Jinjiang Inn Zhongshan Pedestrian Street Hotel which costs about RMB23. Hotel is clean and comfortable. It is a very basic hotel. Do not expect facilities such as swimming pool/gym/business centre. The staffs do not look friendly. I am not sure if they can speak English as I used Cantonese and Mandarin to converse with them. Overall, I will stay here again.

i booked this hotel for my friends who came visit. i personally work in zhongshan, and stayed here for awhile now. zhongshan is consider a big city, but shoppings, entertainments and restaurants are all shatters around. yilan hotel is located in the area of a few shoppings mall, and is very near to other shopping malls and attractions. try not to book the rooms without windows, there's no ventilation at all.

We were happy being there for few nights. On the entrance to the room we found no refrigerator provided, after making a request it was brought into the room. Breakfast was served in a nice environment of the river view but not so many variety. the hotel is located in a walking distant to the Zhongshan - Hong Kong Coach or about 40 minutes by Taxi for going to the Zhongshan Ferry Port. We will surely come back to this hotel again on our next visit to Zhongshan.

Stayed 4D3N. Unfortunately, I met a cunning front desk lady while checking in & out. 1st Trick: She asked me to pay extra room fee as my room was without window. I refused as it’s not mentioned on Agoda order info & asked politely if she can arrange another room for me as hotel seemed not busy. I let go on my other booking for a room with window as that room only booked for 1 nite. She said she can’t read English (my booking confirmation is an Eng version) and refused to until another staff came & helped to get advise from her manager. Eventually I didn’t pay extra for a room with a “no view window” (am fine as w/ sunlight). 2nd Trick: front desk negotiate the security deposit from RMB2000 down to approx RMB500 at the end. 3rd Trick,check out: I paid by cash, that same lady didn’t issue an official receipt until I asked for it. Can’t believe the invoice shown a balance of RMB714. Lucky i’ve checked the contents of the invoice otherwise the hotel will debit my credit card again?!!
