Our main destination for the short deepavali holiday was The Top @ Komtar hence the hotel selection as it's just next to the Komtar, next to Perangin Mall and next to 1st Avenue. By that sense, the location is perfect for me and family. Checked in on 11th Nov 2023, stayed for 2 nights, checked out on 13th November. The process of checking in was smooth. Tq Rachel at the front desk. Always with a smile. The check out was even smoother as there is a box for express checkout.. just endorsed your parking ticket and drop your hotel keys into the box. 👍 I like all the things at the hotel, nice, quiet, clean, location.. did not tried the breakfast though as we usually ate brunch, ordered foodpanda and nearby restaurants available. Two thing that is not to my preferences, i repeat, my preferences.. everyone have different preferences.. 1. The toilet in the room is using a bidet system.. 😬.. 2. The swimming pool water tasted like seawater.. masin.. and quite strong smell of chlorine. These 2 are just me being nitpicking as everything else is good. So if you like Georgetown, want to spend a day at the top, catch a movie at TGV 1st Avenue, shopping at Perangin Mall and 1st Avenue.. then.. this hotel is perfect you you.

Great hotel with great staff. The ambience of the hotel was comfortable and nice too. Staff were very friendly and nice, they every have a whatapp system whereby you cab make request or enquiries through phone which makes everything more convenient and you don't have to go all the way to the counter. Location was great with a big shopping mall right by the side and several coffee shops and morning markets round the corner. Hotel room was clean, comfortable and spacious for 2 pax but the soundproof wasn't very good, we can hear people talking loudly along the walkway but that's just a small downside of the hotel which don't really affect the stay. Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I ever come back to penang. Really a good choice!

Came to Penang for a short holiday and enjoyed my stay here. Room is very clean and tidy, we reached the hotel much earlier than usual check in and was assigned a room right away. Room has basic toiletries, hair dryer, room slippers& bath robe. There is a safe to keep your valuables too. However we were pretty disappointed at the level of service & food quality in the restaurant on level 1. We were there for lunch and food took almost half an hour to come, and when waitress was rude and looked at me frowning when I asked for an update for my food order. Food is not amazing given this is in Jen Hotel, really expected much better. And what horrible customer service was that from the waitress. Location of hotel is prime, it's about 15/20mins drive away to Straits Quay area. There are 2 shopping malls right next to hotel, very convenient.

The hotel has been renovated recently and is very clean. Location is amazing, one can get a grab ride to anywhere in just a few minutes’ wait. The breakfast buffet could be improved by having all the vegetarian options labeled or listing the ingredients and the venue was a little crowded given that major functions were held at the hotel quite often. I enjoyed dining ala carte as the chef was very accommodating with special requests. Room service could be a little faster as well (I ordered two bottles of water and wanted to rest after receiving the delivery but ended up waiting for several hours).

I stayed 2 nights at Jen and it was very easy to get to, the hotel room was clean and spacious and everything you expect from a 4 star hotel. The location is right next to two shopping malls so plenty of food and shopping you can do. It's close to a lot of food places (10-15 min walk) and attractions however you can also easily catch a grab that is quite cheap to nearby areas. They have live music on Thursday to Saturday nights which adds to the vibes. Staff were helpful and I had no issues for those two nights. The pool is quite basic however but the gym looked quite large and had a variety of machines. Overall, great hotel at an affordable price.
