2nd review for my stay during late August 2025 Tips for travelers. Show your passport or ID for checking in rather than telling about the app you booked through. Swimming pool is not functional since corona I had to checkout for one day and then came back again. They charge 5 Euros per piece of luggage per day. So I kept my luggage with a friend nearby. Don't buy breakfast, it's less than basic and if something ends, it ends!! Replenishment is not guaranteed. Though view from their breakfast area is very good. Pasting my previous review for general information about earlier check in mid August 2025. First issue: I booked through *** by paying in advance but was told that my reservation doesn't exist. Receptionist guy advised me to contact *** and that he couldn't do anything. While there was no immediate response from *** despite a good AI response system, I was left disappointed about what to do. Meanwhile, receptionist feigned a very positive attitude and appeared to be very caring and helpful but was actually not which I came to know later. He even showed me complete list of guests on *** panel where my name didn't exist. After wasting my 30 minutes, he asked me to provide passport and then told me that you have reservation but not in *** list. He convinced me that it was *** fault and that *** had done my booking through some of its partner organization and that's why I faced delay. While I do believe that it's partly *** fault but that guy could have demanded my passport at start to avoid this issue. On my question , he accepted that this happened with other customers as well. Now I believe that he did all this intentionally. *** also needs to review it's system of reservation. Second issue: less than a very basic breakfast. Third issue: *** site showed that I can buy breakfast for 8 Euros but on site they demanded 15 Euros. Fourth issue: I stayed for two nights then went to Izmir and then came back again for another two days to same hotel. This time the receptionist lady was far better. She told me about all the services and facilities that I could enjoy for free like gym and hamam (payment for massage only though I missed both due to shortage of time). This again showed that the previous receptionist guy was probably having sick mentality. Some positives: location is exactly on Taksim square, cleanliness is good. Some very good restaurants are on walking distance. Basic amenities in room and furniture are also of a 3 star hotel which was good.
