Kadıköy hotels & places to stay

We stayed for 7 nights at Wyndham Grand over two trips and absolutely loved it. There has clearly been a lot of thought put into the hotel and it really shows. The bedrooms are very homely and sumptuous with great beds and lovely soft feather pillows. The aircon is really quiet too! The family room is nice if you have one child as there is a small area with sliding doors behind which there is a single bed, we also had a cot which due to the generous overall size of the room was no problem. The child room also has its own TV. The staff are so friendly and kind. Senem in Guest relations and the Concierge team can't do enough to help. There is a taxi station outside so getting a taxi is so simple. The are where Wyndham Grand is must be one of the best in Istanbul, and clearly there is much affluence in the area. It really is a great location and you can walk to many quality places to eat or shop. Bagdat Road is minutes away. For kids there is a nice safe(not too deep) pool with lots of shade. Outside the hotel and within 2 minutes walk there are parks and gardens with play areas plus a promenade that runs the entire length of the coast. I can't say enough good things about the hotel.

i love staying at double tree istanbul moda, although a bit far from the business center of the istanbul, but since i love hotel where i can stay calmly, so double tree istanbul moda is the best to stay to resting your mind. still close to the harbor, you can take ferry to the city crowd around sultan ahmet... but this hotel really near the center of kadikoy city (another part of istanbul) very nice city... the internet is freakin fast and free! awesome!

Hotel Suadiye is at a great location overlooking the princess islands and at a few minutes walk from Bagdat Street. Its a great place to stay at away from all the heavy tourist areas in Istanbul. The hotel rooms are much better than posted in pictures, I booked a sea view room and got a great room on the top floor. Their staff was friendly and helpful, we were travelling with an infant and at times they would play with the baby so we can enjoy the breakfast. Breakfast was mediocre,not a lot of staff spoke English in the restaurant area and in general in the hotel. One thing they can improve is to add a coffee / tea maker in the room.

We stayed here four nights and it was a fantastic experience in terms of cleanliness, comfort and very kind staff. Location is super convenient: Only a minute walk to public transport and ferries to European side and Historical Yeldegirmeni Neighbourhood, a stone's throw away from Kadikoy Carsi and 5 mins walk to Bahariye or Moda. I'll definitely stay here again for the future Istanbul visits! Thank you :)

As a seasoned Istanbul traveller I was very happy with this hotel. It is a charming boutique hotel at a quiet (residential), though happening location. The sea is nearby, as well as lots of great outdoor places (varying between simple traditional tea shops to hip bars and restaurants). It is an easy and nice walk to either the metro, ferry or airport bus at Kadiköy. The hotel's staff are very welcoming and speak excellent English. Room was very nice with a lovely bathroom. I hope to come back soon!

Try to find something better - if you are booking in advance, you will have plenty of same-price options. We stayed in a double room with two merged beds. Hotel staff initially offered a super small room with a bed a little bitter than single, which was already a bad start. Beds in our alternative room very excruciating - both of us returned home with broken back. Also, the whole floor from time to time was smelling like someone is smoking, and that smell penetrated into the room. Although the location is good, bathroom facilities were also good, but everything else was rather disappointing. Not a chance I will stay here again.

Hotel is well located to easily reach the ferry piers and shopping district. Nice breakfast with almost same items as a 5-star hotel in Istanbul. You know it's good with the kitchen supervisor conscientiously checks everything throughout the buffet hours. One thing to improve is the spring mosquito: A straying mosquito visited my room for 2 nights in a row. I had a mosquito repellent band with me and put it to use. Should have told the front desk about the situation in the room located at back of hotel.

I was here with my wife for just 1 night. Overall the hotel is just average. My room wifi is bad, I complain to the staff & manage to get new room for me and my wife, but another problem came up which is my room is just opposite to nightclub. There is a bit noise outside. If youre okay with it, then its good. The staff is helpful. Hotel is Surrounding with a lot of restaurant, shop & close to Kadikoy pier

Kadikoy is an excellent place to stay in Istanbul: it means daily crossings of the Bosphorous in the ferry to get to the European side of the city. (The Bosphorous ferry must be one of the world's great short ferry trips; always rewarding.) There is a great local street market, many tea shops and plenty of restaurant options. I have stayed at the Golden Rest Hotel numerous times, and have always found the staff friendly and helpful. It does not claim to be anything more than a three star hotel, and as that it is excellent value. (The WiFi has recently been upgraded and is now very accessible.) It remains my hotel-of-choice in Istanbul, and I look forwards to my next trip to this extraordinary city.

Place is on famous Baghdad Avenue where there are thousands of quality stores and restaurants of all kinds in a very kids friendly city. So figure it out.. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Carpet was old but clean.. probably shampooed often. Room cleaning service was attentive. Front desk was polite. The Manager was considered and kind. But the place is slightly outdated and needed a renovation. And it is being renovated. This was the main concern. Having renovations going on while guests are in the building can be loud sometimes. Although management showed every possible effort to minimize the noise tile cutting machines could be scary to listen even in daytime. I would call management ahead to make sure renovations are over before booking this place. It will probably be continuing next 3 months. So I would suggest you avoid this place this summer. That is said I intend to come back once the renovations are done. It will probably be an excellent place for family to stay.

What wasn't broken in our room? Our balcony door could not be fixed when we arrived on Friday so we waited until Saturday lunch time. One hour later it was broken again and we could not open the door to access the things we had put there to keep cold. This was not fixed. The rocking chair was broken and so was the armchair. We complained instantly but the blond haired German looking receptionist with arm tattoos could not be bothered to even smile or say sorry. I told her as the room was in such a poor state we did not expect to pay full price. She said nothing. On Sunday she charged us full price and then started to argue that as we had booked online we had to pay full price. Eventually as voices got raised she relented and charged us half price but she was surly and unapologetic for the whole of the weekend and it put us off returning. Appalling service.
