Central Kalimantan hotels & accommodations

In Pangkalan Bun, Kalimantan (and other towns maybe?) the government rations electricity by turning power off to the whole town from 6 to 9pm every day. This hotel has its own generator which is supposed to switch on seamlessly when the grid electricity turns off- well, it broke down the first night we were there (and no-one told us about the grid power going every ev...

It is a decent 3-star hotel, but it could actually grow to 4-star. I liked the staff, so I will provide the following helpful suggestions to make it an even better experience. The grounds are large and impressive, but they let construction rubbish pile near the entrance. A clean landscape would improve the first impression of guests. The lobby is grand but overrun wi...

It's hard to rate Rimba in the same way I'd rate a regular hotel. It is a lodge in the jungle on a sparsely populated island in a developing country. The room was comfortable and quiet, but the price was also high for a one star hotel Indonesia. However, how many places in the world can you stay with tropical birds and monkeys? The staff were friendly and helpful. If a...

it's a nice place, clean, with superb bed, latrine, and shower (which for me they are the most basic facilities that cannot be negotiated). with a lcd cable tv, it served me with various entertainment needed. but, it's too far from the central of crowd, nearby to petrol station too, with many queed trucks :( not so close from kahayan river, as advertised. couldn't...

It is a four stars hotel and a boutique hotel, but i don't think it is a totally boutique hotel. The breakfast buffet varieties is limited. I love the pancake and waffle buffet. if you are in the room, you can hear you lower level guest opening their room door or everything they do. I guest there is a thin line between one room to another room above it. Afraid of the b...

The hotel is fine with very friendly helpful english speaking staff. Easy to rent moped or get moped taxi. There are very few taxis in Palakaraya. Close to many food stalls. Breakfast ok selfservice. I think the value for money is excellent. Afternoon coffee/tea served in room. Very happy

Sometimes I feel lazy to write review comments after my stay. But this time I have to write, and sincerely write, because I received a very warm and friendly service from Bukit Raya Guest House. So, thank you Ibu Ruth, Pak Thomas, Ibu Beatrice and Pak Peritno. My comments: - Ibu Ruth, Pak Thomas, and Ibu Beatrice are very warm and they helped us with a lot of sug...

The hotel is quite clean,it offers a place for car or motorbike. The lobby is quite big and it is possible to seat down on the couches and relax. The breakfast room is quite small, I personally don't like the tables, quite small for 2 person. The room is quite confortable, it has a small but tidy bathroom with hot water. The Tv offers a variety of channels and clean to...

the room is clean, cozy and the air conditioner work as good as it gets: cold. the bathroom and closet is clean enough. the breakfast is quite good, eventhough there's not a lot of options, but good enough for you to start your day with its meal. the receptionist, and other hotel assistant are friendly and helpful. i think i have nothing to complaint about this hotel. ...
