Where to stay in Izmir
Izmir hotels & accommodations
This was our first time to Izmir, Turkey and we picked Movenpick due to it's location. We requested for high floors and Sea View but was placed on the 3rd with a sea view. We also stated that we were on Honeymoon and the hotel decorated our bed with (fake) rose petals and embroidered pillowcase. Breakfast was not included in our booking, but we paid for it (39 Euros/pe...
A very modern hotel in downtown Izmir. Room was clean and comfortable and staff were very friendly and professional. They booked my Ephesus trip for me when I checked in. Rooftop restaurant is excellent too. Many thanks guys, I had a great stay!
Very good location in izmir between 3 malls. Very hot room no.506 A/C not working well. House keeping are not proffesional & rooms are not cleen. Food & breakfast is very delecious. New furniture.
Maybe we went at the wrong time. Izmir is beautiful. Hilton is not far from Konak Pier. Nice walk. Plenty of cafes outside. You’ll never go hungry or get bored. Just too crowded coz when we came, they had some seminars going. It’s pretty uneasy when the staff hard sell you the executive rooms saying that they’re renovated. And one staff said to my dad, you pay standard...
The hotel is so adorable! We booked an economy room that was right behind from the receiption and had a window opening to the garden. I was blown away by the decorations - everything is just so cute! The breakfast spread is something out of this world too. Make sure you don't miss it. there's also afternoon tea with home baked pastries a 5pm everyday. highly recommend!...
we were staying one night there bcz in the next next we headed back to Italy, we had amazing stay, staff were helping us for any requested as we had a problem with the taxi in previous time (long story) . there's 5 double tree by hilton hotel in Izmir so be sure the taxi driver to drop you in a correct address . overall we had a pleasant stayed.
Saint John Hotel is one of the best 3-star hotels Ive ever had the pleasure of staying at. The hotel is nicely decorated which soothes the aesthetics and it also has a functionality which makes it practical as well. The room was cleaned everyday, the room temperature can be adjusted, the linens and mattress were comfortable to sleep on, the bedroom is perfect size fo...
great modern and trendy hotel , great neighbourhood , close to the water front and shopping area

Easy check in and out. Basic but clean rooms. However, if your stay is to get to Pamukkale and Ephesus, stay near the airport. But if you want to explore the city of Izmir, head on to Alsancak where The hotel is.
Very conveniently placed within the airport between the International and domestic terminals (follow the signs). Check in and out process very easy and the room was well presented and very suitable for my needs to spend the one night and then drive out from Izmir. It is a real headache to try and stay within the city as it takes 15 minutes without traffic and anywhere ...
It is probably one of the best hotels in Izmir and a good hotel to stay in if you are on a business trip and have to get in and out of Izmir quickly. However, if you want to do sightseeing in Izmir, it is too far away from the city center. However, the hotel has very good facilities and the staff speak good English.
It’s a very pretty hotel in a great location far from the noisy streets of Alacati with plenty of parking space around. Room was very clean with great amenities. Hotel also offers great breakfast in their beautiful garden.
The hotel located far from tourist area. There are no tourist attractions near by. Eventhough it is next to the sea but there is the road like highway in between and there is no flyover that we could walk across the street to walk along the sea shore. We can just look to the sea from our room. The room is good with good Sea view. we love the bed very much. It is big an...
Will definitely return another time. Didn’t realise all the places close down October 1 st Best to go before that, Sunday was very busy lots of people. Great day.
I liked my stay at Nicea Hotel! I arrived near midnight and they waited for me. I took the free Global Atlas shuttle from Izmir airport to Selcuk and the walk from the drop off point to Nicea Hotel was short and easy to navigate. This was a good thing considering I brought a 30-kls baggage and a back pack! I was surprised to see a 2-bed room when I booked a single e...
Great place. Great staff. Excellent location. If you are visiting Alacati then this is the place to stay. Breakfast is out of this world. Had a great time!
Free parking place, good breakfast, excellent wi-fi signal, and the room though a bit small (we chose the cheapest price) is so well fitted with evertything nad space was greatly used. So we felt we were in a higher category room. The personnel is extremely helpful and flexible with check out time. Great choice of hotel in Izmir, if you travel by car you cannot miss thi...
This place feels like home with extreme warmfull hospitality
Great sea view from my room. Friendly staff, breakfast was good! Everything is perfect! If you’re looking for a good place to watch the sunset, head to the beach on the left side of the hotel! Walk all the way in and climb the hill!
cozy, great, clean, excellent, im double sure this hotel is the best hotel in Izmir
Just a simple nice stay for short trip . Breakfast not much. Too expensive just for that kind of hotel. Perhaps maybe is away from Izmir and located near to Coast and Greece thats the reason why expensive.
Shanti offers the best breakfast in Turkey I have been stayed!stuffs is really nice when I arrived izimir, they send email which written in Chinese told me how to get to their hostel in detail. I really appreciate it!the location is great and they offer kitchen for guest to use. I super recommend you to stay here
This hotel a little bit far from the beach instead of it, the surrounding area is very calm Also there is a very beautiful staff warmly welcoming
I really love this hotel. The hotel owner is super friendly and the room is fantastic. Highly recommended !!
the owner the owner and the owner he is the best man I never seen in my life. I will go back soon
Hotel venue and the staff were great; however, I experienced a lot of troubles because of Agoda and partner company. I'd booked a room with sea view, paid more than the one with land view, printed off my booking confirmation from Agoda, and showed it to the reception upon arrival. I was unfortunately told that the agency (Hotelbeds) Agoda partners with informed them th...
the hotel is walking distance to all places of interest in Izmir. Restaurants and shops are just around the corner. staff is very helpful. Our room was small but good enough for the price. It is an old hotel but they are able to maintain cleanliness.
I had a bad luck when I stay. Izmir City is doing a footpath that make a view around hotel bad.
It's hard to find fault with Ayasoluk Hotel. It is in a great location to access local sights, Selcuk's downtown area and the bus station. The hotel is beautifully styled and presented inside and out and it has wonderful views - especially at sunset. The pool is a treat after clambering around nearby Ephesus. The outdoor bar area and the restaurant are both pleasant ...
Cheap places to stay in Izmir
I stayed in the hostel and had a great stay. Clean room and bathroom with towels and hot water provided. Located right in town walking distance to many tourist sites or if you prefer it is close to where you can catch a mini bus to the sites, and even on to the next town. The best part of this stay was the staff. They all treat you as family. I arrived late at night wi...
I love to stay there. The hostel is lovely, simple, colorful and the best part is the people that work there. It has a kitchen where you can cook by your own and a lovely garden. Will come back here when im in izmir! Thanks ♥️

We are glad to have stayed here. The host Ersin is very friendly, genuine and helpful and can certainly qualify as the unofficial Bergama Tourism Board. He recommendes us many options around the area :) We esp love the lavish breakfast on the terrace, the view is fantastic! Overall, we will stay here again if we are back in Bergama!

It's in a very quiet area, but only 5 mins walk to the marina, centre, and the bus depot. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Happy to help with absolutely anything, and catered to my numerous requests. There is a pool as well which is clean and well maintained. Perfect for a short getaway in Cesme.
This pansyion is a super simple and clean place ran by a nice family. The owner is this sweet little lady who will help you with booking tours and moving on to your next destination within moments from asking. If you're lucky enough, make sure you accept her unexpected invitation to take you to her pool in the nearby mountains in the afternoon! She just had a nice new ...
Great sea view from my room. Friendly staff, breakfast was good! Everything is perfect! If you’re looking for a good place to watch the sunset, head to the beach on the left side of the hotel! Walk all the way in and climb the hill!
On arriving we were escorted to a twin room. I didn't accept it and was immediately taken yo a Double room. It was very like the staff member was changing his arm to don me off with a twin room. Internet not available either the following morning. The Breakfast staff member was very helpful.
While i was seachring for a hotel i found this hotel and after i read the reviews I decided to book it and I am so happy about my decision.. I booked the hotel for 3 nights but I feel so comfortable that i extended my stay for 5 more days.. If you expect a LUXURIOUS hotel forget it but if you want a stay where you feel like home then don't wait to book it. The rooms ar...
This cute hotel felt like a guesthouse and was very welcoming. Our group enjoyed our stay here and especially loved the porch to hang out on and the staff that ran it! Everyone was so kind! Breakfast had a couple of hot choices like eggs and sausage, lots of olives, bread, and tea. It's just a short walk to the main part of Cesme. This is best for someone who can walk ...

For the money you pay, this might be the best option in Izmir. The staff are welll trained and professional. Location is perfect to walk to the Kona Saat/harbor and also to Asansor. The hotel has a gym, rooms are om size. They offer great breakfast too.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet excellent. Bed comfortable and shower worked well. I have given location as excellent and it is very near Basmane train station and service bus area.. I like the street it is on, which although can be noisy, since it is a small market type shopping ar...
Good sized room, giant bed, very clean, remarkably quiet considering its location in the middle of Izmir, and professionally run. A bit bland but then again it is part of a chain. The breakfast (free with our booking) was excellent - a huge choice including fresh fruit, delicious yogurt, juices, filter coffee rather than the dreadful and all-too-common Nescafe instant...
LOVED this place! We were a group of three and all thought this was the best place we stayed on our road trip around Turkey. The hotel itself is very clean, the rooms are decorated wonderfully with an ottoman feel. The hosts are superior, going out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. I would return for the homemade breakfast alone, it was a spread of ho...
It was nice and comfortable because the staff could speak english and help us, the hotel room's light was red and green which really didn't feel that comfortable but except the room light it was better than the other places.

Staff is nice, location is good and near to bus agent office to pamukalle. But its too expensive compare the facilities the hotel have.
I had one of the most beautiful experience with a staff. It was much more than a pure politeness and professional ethics, and for me that is what counts the most.
Location is central. Easy to travel around the town and around . Simple, clean rooms. Lovely owners.
great hotel run by an incredibly friendly family. our time in seljuk was sullied by on and off rain, so rebetika was a lovely place to rebase after walking around town. we were always greeted with apple tea and pastries in the lobby, and the owner's son is absolutely adorable! rooms were small but clean, and the breakfast spread was delicious.
Was an good stay , just one night .The area is however difficult to park as the road in front was full of cars on both sides of the road , seems like a busy business area by day time .The hotel has a parking at the back which was quite okay but not so convenient .Roads are small and one way-ish , difficult to navigate .To go to city , best to take TAXI , as Izmir is ve...
The Akropolis was recommended to me by some travellers I met on the road and I was very happy with the recommendation. I booked a single room and was given a choice of two rooms. For a single traveller, the rooms were spacious and clean but what I loved most of all was there were several areas where I could relax after a day of sight-seeing. The room had a separate '...
I took the Havas Bus airport transfer from Izmir airport in the very early morning. The bus made a stop quite near to the hotel so it is within 5 mins walk. They allowed me to check in immediately and have breakfast. I guess they have upgraded my room as well but unfortunately my room smelled terribly cigarettes & they cannot change a room for me. The corridor on my fl...
It made our trip to Selcuk perfect. The location is quite convenient,5 mins' walk to Basilica and 10 mins' to the bus station and train station where you could easily access to the small towns nearby, such as Kusadasi, Sirince and Tire within 30 mins and to Izmir Airport within 1 hour. Also, you could easily find any types of restaurants which suit your taste in the n...
My sons and I had a wonderful time at Ali Baba's. Ali and his staff were kind and helpful, above and beyond the call of duty. Ali took us to Ephesus and even to Izmir to catch a flight. We enjoyed the food all three mornings and ate all three dinners there as well. The housekeeper did our laundry and kept our rooms spic and span. We also enjoyed the rug sales presentat...
The room is very basic, but its clean. The price is reasonable. The staff at the reception is very friendly and helpful. I order room service - pizza, it took them 1.5 hours to send it to me.

Rooms pretty basic but spotless Breakfast outstanding Had evening meals in restaurant, delicious meals with attentive staff and very reasonably priced ... highly recommend the leveret fish dish ... scrumptious
It’s just perfect
Very good hotel and breakfast. Room cleaning is nice. Friendly staff. Good facilities. Silent boutique hotel.... Highly recommended!
Great breakfast with everything! Would be good if the staff can smile more.
We stayed at the Hera Boutique Hotel for two nights and loved it. Although we arrived late after a long drive from Troy, the manager was not tired := but offered us a snack of local nuts and wine. The hotel is a beautifully restored old house, saved from the ruin, and will be expanded, since the owners have already purchased the adjoining property. The Pergamon rui...
We thought this place was amazingly cheap for how nice it was. The location is convenient both to the bazaar and the busier area of the kordon if you don't mind walking. Otherwise taxis and public transport all around. The hotel is located right by izmir's culture park which hosts all kinds of concerts and events. The room itself was very nice as was the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay at Dalyan Residence and for sure we would love to visit and stay in this comfortable hotel. Tnank you to all staff. Keep up the good work.
We were so pleased with our stay at Brera. The owners were so friendly and accommodating, the food was excellent, and the facilities are picture perfect. It's well within walking distance of Alacati. It was a wonderful stay and I can highly recommend it.

what a nice hotel! what you see in the pictures is exactly what you will find and i am sure you will be pleased. if possible, ask a room in other blocks than in the reception block since it may be a bit (only a bit, really) noisy after dinner. great location, quite close to the center of alaçate (3, 4 min walking)and far enough to be relaxing!
We had a fantastic night at Les Pergamon. Everything about it is perfect--and the food is the best. We also greatly enjoyed our conversations with Cem, the owner.
Is a family type hotel and very new hotel .Owner of the hotel is superb friendly and helpful . The hotel do not have lift and the owner will assist to take the luggage to the room . Hotel is located very near St. John & İsa Bey mosque which only 2 min can arrive and 7 min from Selçuk town . Owner also recommend best food in the town . Breakfast is typical Turkish big ...
