I checked about 30 hotels before I chose Village Cave House Hotel for 2 reasons: the terrace and the in-room wifi. The latter is especially hard to find among Goreme hotels. The view from the terrace is absolutely worth the price - especially if you're already tired from the hike, you can still enjoy the view (including that of the hot air balloons in the early morni...

Elika caves came as a surprise! Situated in Ürgüp! This resort was absolutely stunning. Made in a cave style , the rooms were a delight to stay in. They had small details that added all the fun. The breakfast was horrible. You were charged extra 10 lira per egg ordered. They had no hot item on the breakfast, you had to order eggs with a lady that could not understand you. She provided 3 eggs for 3 pax, I told her we needed more than that, she said we had to pay additional 30 lira. I mean its not the money, which was very small compared to what we paid for the...

Everything is all right with this hotel . Even though it is not a 5 star but I give it an outstanding or excellent. The breakfast on roof top is very commendable. They alternate the breakfast either at the Goreme House close to the hotel or at the hotel rooftop. Kamal who worked at the hotel is easy to deal with and has a good command of English.

Which we booked thru them as the price is reasonable. He also reminded us about the weather.

With its unique geological formations, such as the famous fairy chimneys and intricate cave dwellings, this destination offers a mesmerizing backdrop for travelers seeking adventure and culture. The region is dotted with ancient rock-cut churches, underground cities, and charming villages, each telling a story of the past. Visitors are often enchanted by the surreal beauty of the Göreme National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the natural wonders harmonize with the historical significance of the area.
As you meander through Nevsehir, you'll find that the landscape itself is a canvas painted by nature, showcasing a palette of earthy tones and dramatic cliffs. The captivating valleys, like Rose Valley and Pigeon Valley, invite exploration, whether through leisurely hikes or exhilarating hot air balloon rides at sunrise, offering breathtaking views of the unique topography. For those looking to immerse themselves in local culture, the charming villages, such as Ürgüp and Avanos, provide a glimpse into traditional Turkish life, with local crafts, delicious cuisine, and warm hospitality.

When to Experience the Best of Nevsehir
Timing your visit to Nevsehir can greatly enhance your experience, as each season brings its own charm. Springtime brings blooming wildflowers and vibrant colors, while autumn offers a golden hue that transforms the landscape into a picturesque setting.
Summer (July to August) can be quite hot, with temperatures soaring, but it is also the peak tourist season. If you prefer a livelier atmosphere with various events and festivals, this might be the right time for you. However, be prepared for larger crowds and higher accommodation prices. Conversely, winter (December to March) offers a quieter experience, with the chance to witness Nevsehir's beauty blanketed in snow.
