Sirkeci hotels & places to stay

The lady (I think she is the owner)was so helpful to provide us all the information about Istanbul (where to go,see&eat) upon arrival which made our trip much easier.She also lent us the recharchable public transport card that we could use for tram n train.(one trip on tram/train cost 1.95lira by using card instead of 3lira without). Hotel was modern&clean.located near sirkeci station and nor far from topkapi,blue mosque etc. local eateries around the hotel were all very cheap and tasty. Walk in rate was very expensive but much cheaper to book on Agoda. Highly recommend this hotel!

We arrived at Sirkeci at 10 in the morning and they invited us to have breakfast whilst they prepared our room. A great start. Room was ready within 40 minutes and it was clean, fresh and perfect. We stayed in a deluxe room wiht a balcony. The staff here are so attentive to customer service. Everyone has a smile and is ready to help. They offer suggestions for places to eat and go out of their way to make sure your stay is a happy one. The breakfast is good and has enough variety each day. The location is perfect for the tourist travellers that we were. The tram is a great way to get about and the Sirkeci loan you an Istanbul kart so you can do this. The hotel also overlooks the park and is so quiet in th evenings. I would definitely recommend.

Good location nearest to the Tram take you around Istanbul. This hotel is well too loud, guests and staffs members do not have any respect for people sleeping ... Between the Housekeepers having a very loud laugh, chat, Shouting, chucking stuff around Creating a lot of noises at 7am and people coming up and down making a such a noise all night you cannot have a better sleep...! My room was so old “207” need definitely a refurbishment. Also, the breakfast is a joke, water and juice tests so disgusting, not enough food selections. Staffs are unprofessional except the receptionist. But to be honest a loved to spend my time out, Istanbul it’s a great place...

Me and my family stayed at this hotel for a week. This was the first time for my family to stay in istanbul and I’m glad i chose this hotel over the previous ones i had stayed at. The staff at this hotel was excellent and service was fantastic. Breakfast was really good and there was a large choice to chose from. The only thing i would say is that if you are going to book a triple room that they are quite small and there is just about room to move around between beds. Other than this the hotel and its service was great. The location is fantastic and everything is at walking distance. We had a family emergency for which we had to return back earlier and fly out at different times due to flight availability. The hotel staff was very efficient in helping us all catch different flights to the airport on time. I would highly recommend this hotel to others!

I arrive late. At night to check in and I was suppose to have a family sweet.instead I was given two rooms.it was a horrible experience and tried with person at reception to change rooms he did not help us much and told us to wait till morning. Next day morning we went to manager which was. Female named SEBEL. She was like an angel from no where. She helped us a lot and gave as the family sweet which. Has an excellent view. We stayed 8 days in hotel and all staff were friendly and trying to help us to make our stay comfortable. Finally I would like to mention it is 3 star hotel but with excellent location to explore Istanbul and three is nearby tram and metro station. Also nearbye restaurant and cafes and grocery where u can by what you need

This hotel is a gem located in the heart of the city. It is so close to the tram stations like Sirkeci, Gulshan and also to all major tourist attractions like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi etc. For me, i'll give 5 stars for this hotel as I had the best stay ever. Air cond was good, bed was superb and so comfortable, breakfast was good. There's nothing I don't like about this hotel. Will surely come back :) :). Thank you Sultania Hotel for this amazing experience.

Absolutely loved our stay at Barbera! The service was top notch from the delicious blend of house çay, to bookings of buses between towns, to ordering dinner delivery... by the end of the trip, we were calling this place home. Breakfast was yummy, the desserts the chef whips up were super tasty. The location is perfect (although a hint would be take Exit 2 at Sirkeci train station the path is a lot smoother and even for dragging your luggage). The rooms had comfortable beds, and the electric kettle was great as a clock. Jenna and her team were most helpful and friendly - making it very easy for a first time visitor to Istanbul and Turkey. Thanks to the team for a great time! I hope to visit again soon.

Located in Sultanahmet district within short walk to Topkapi Palace Museum, Hagia Sofia Museum, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Spice Market. Many restaurants also nearby. Friendly effient staff. Good selection at breakfast including omelet station. The hotel is a part of the Yasmak Sultan Hotel across the street which is where the reception desk is located. Entry to the Yasmak Comfort lobby is with a security key fob. Breakfast is also on the rooftop of the Yasmak Sultan Hotel up a flight of stairs from the top floor. Cable TV was also good with BBC News channel in English. They also can arrange airport transfers for less than we paid from the airport taxi desk. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!

accessible to everything( metro, shops, restaurants, hagia sophia, blue mosque, etc.) Two options to go there using istanbul metro( from Ataturk airport you can use (M1A) red line going to Zeytinburnu station and transfer to blue line (T1) to Gülhane station or Serkeci stations. the hotel is located in between the two stations and so easy to find:) the second option is from Ataturk airpot to Aksaray station and walk 5-7 mins to transfer to blue line going to Gülhane or Sirkeci station.

Thanks Neorion hotel for excellent service and enjoyable stay. Huge breakfast spread and delicious afternoon mezze. Enjoyed sauna and hamam. Jacuzzi and pool tooo cold. Marmara metro station 5 minutes walk from hotel. Sirkeci tram station 3min walk. Very close to spice bazaar. Walking distance to blue mosque and topkapi palace...... Huge bedroom and good size bathroom. Same as pictures on website. Excellent staff and friendly atmosphere.

I come once a month to Istanbul and I think for the amount of money I’ve paid, this is one of the best stay so far. Nothing special about the room, cleanliness was ok. There was an issue with the shower head, I told the staff and he got it fixed within 10 minutes. The cleaning ladies comes daily to clean the rooms. There is an elevator in the building guest can use. But sometimes if others do not close the door properly before leaving, then the elevator gets stucked on that floor which is a minor pain. For the amount of money I paid, the breakfast spread is amazing. Really fills you up for the day’s activities.

Really enjoyed our stay at Nea Suites. The staff (Alp in particular) was very welcoming and made us comfortable with a cup of tea and baklavas from the little shop up front (on the house!) while our room was being prepared. We were given the terrace suite, which is absolutely fantastic. The views of the golden horn from the balcony are amazing and the room itself is very comfortable and modern. The breakfast spread (at the sister hotel Neorion, which is less than a minute away) was excellent both days. The location in Sultanahmet is perfect for sightseeing and there is a metro and tram station a minute away as well. Note that the tram runs right in front of the hotel - for us it all added to the charm of a city stay and we didn't notice it on the top floor, but may be noisy on the lower floors. Overall we loved the hotel and would stay here again.

This hotel was located near Sirkeci Tram Station, and it is in a cluster where there are many other hotels. There are cafes and small shops all within walking distance and I found the room to be quite quiet. The staff there are not exactly friendly, but then again Turkish people don't seem to be very friendly in general. The room itself was clean but very small. They were kind enough to let me check in at 8am, which was much appreciated after my red eye flight. In general, it was a decent stay.

It was very good. The rooms were cleaned every day. The best thing about the hotel was the amazing location. You are close to pretty much everything. It's a 20 minute walk to blue mosque+ Hagia sophia, 5 minute to Eminönü, the hotel is located close to 2 tramway stations (maybe 2-5 minutes walking distances)and also close to the bigger trainstation Sirkeci. There is a park just 5 minutes of walking (Gülhane park) which is a beautiful park. There are several cafees and restaurants everywhere in every direction. The hotel is located in a side street so you will avoid all the noise from cars and tramways coming from the big street.

I spent 5 nights here in Suit room. It was the best view outside of the room. The balcony is the best thing that you can spend after a long walk even in cold weather. The room made me feel like you stay home. Staff are nice and helpful. Location is the beat thing also. You can walk for a couple minutes from the station even when you had a hard day for a long walk distance. I love this.

The hotel is a nice and new hotel consisted of 12 rooms. The rooms are spacious with modern setting using digital signage instead of doorknob hangers. It is situated off the busy main road and yet just minutes' walk to the Sirkeci tramway station and the new Marmaray subway line Sirkeci station. The staff are helpful, fluent in English and attentive. Rooms as well as breakfast tables are kept clean. I could see at least two janitors standing by for cleaning the tables during breakfast. The hotel is planning to renovate sauna room, Turkish bath and massage room. I will surely be coming back next time and glad to try those facilities.

Stayed for a night in olympiat hotel. Got a secret deal from agoda. Quite shock at first since the hotel looks expensive, but I got it at a very cheap price. The lobby is perfect and the room as well, very clean. I think this is still a newly renovated hotel. Location is good, nice restaurants nearby. And very near to tram station, about 100m only. Food for breakfast are general Turkish food. Overall it is nice experience.

This hotel is really perfectfor those who are exploring Istanbul. Location is really in the center of Sultanahmet area. 2 minutes walking to Sirkeci tram station which can connect you to Taksim/Galata/Karakoy. Ferry harbor is only 5 minutes away that can reach Kadikoy/Asian area. Bus station is only 6 minutes away that can reach more places. Staffs are really nice and helpful. Cihan and team are like the extending partner of Tourism Ministry. They can give detail advise on which places to see. The hotel and the staffs really add something nice to our memorable holiday in Istanbul

The hotel staff could not do enough for us and can't be praised enough. They were professional, caring and informative and that is without exception all the staff we met. The hotel is also in a very convenient location with adequate facilities. Shame it only has an indoor pool but that can't be helped. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit Istanbul.

Almost everything from start to finish was great. I was greeted by a lovely receptionist during check in. I went to the room and had a little trouble closing the window and she immediately took care of it. The room was superb. At that price point, I was surprised to get such quality room. Location is probably the highlight of this hotel as it is just a few minutes away from Gulhane tram station and also Sirkeci station (marmaray included). The minor downside is the breakfast. The choices weren't that many and the server couldn't speak English which was a bit difficult. But then again for that price level, you couldn't complain too much. Upon check out, the receptionist kept my luggage while I explore Istanbul. All in all, a great experience. Wish I stayed longer!

Taya Hatun provides excellent value for money. Excellent location, 3 minutes walkable distance from Gulhane tram station and the main road, yet very peaceful. It doesn't have any nightclub etc, so very peaceful. Excellent cleanliness with friendly staff starting with the owner, Mr. Orfan then Bahar, Fatima and all others. Facilities are also very good and adequate keeping in view the room rates. Turkish Breakfast served is wholesome and tasty. Wifi in rooms and lobby is very good. Only minor improvement needed is that the tea cups, spoons in the rooms should be replaced daily. I wanted to rate the hotel 4.5 in facilities but the agoda rating scale doesn't allow that. There are also grocery shops, gift shops and restaurants nearby. Overall loved the stay and would definitely stay again, God willing.
