Very good with a couple of caveats”
One needs to be careful when writing a review any resort or establishment in Bali keeping in mind the devastating impact of Covid on a destination primarily reliant on tourism. Having said that, reviews need to be fair and transparent so we the traveling public can rely on each other when making holiday choices. So, to the Sofitel Nusa Dua. Overall very very good. In summary on the positives: Great location if quality beach front is important. Great beach chairs and huts to sit under. Water is clear and clean (superficially anyway!). Sand is nice. Pool is large and very nice albeit pretty crowded in January. But no complaints. Room is big and spacious. Nicely appointed with a lovely balcony with swinging and rocking chairs to sit on. Bed was comfortable and large (see negatives below). Breakfast was as good as can be expected from a Sofitel - all the usual offerings but if you compare it to other Sofitels that I have stayed in, it lacks the class and sophistication of the breakfasts I’ve had there (mainly the quality of things like the cheeses and meats - but I’m being a little picky). Staff - always exceptional here. Top class. Negatives - things to watch out for: I mentioned the beach above. If you think you can have a relaxing time listening to the waves and enjoying tranquility forget it!! Sofitel employ a band of 3 musicians who play loud (often rock) music for pretty much the best part of the day (11am - 3pm) at the beachfront restaurant. To be honest it’s a reason I would not return. While Sofitel are accommodating the minority of guests who attend the beachfront restaurant, they completely forget about those of us who choose to use the beach front as a point of relaxation. I strongly suggest if management read this review they think about a better way to provide entertainment that is conducive to the environment. To me it was annoying to the point of being a consideration if I return to the hotel despite all the other positives. The room.

I've been to Bali 5 times. I love Bali so much. Bali was our honeymoon place. We visited again and again. There are a lot of resort to explore. This is my first time at Sofitel Nusa Dua. The experience was amazing !! Check in Hotel at reception was impressive and room is clean and very spacious !! Swimming pool was good and we went to Nusa Dua Beach every day and night too. Breakfast was really amazing. I tried all kinds of 5 stars hotel breakfast. This is one of the best !! Food spread is really good. Especially I love freshly squeezed juice. All staffs are so friendly and kind. Just love the hotel. I was so sad to leave Sofitel Nusa Dua. Definitely will come back here !!!

If you are looking for a place to rest and relax please come to Sofitel Nusa Dua. Rooms are clean, staff service is excellent as well. There’s a private beach with sun chairs and hut. Our little one loves this place. If we are asked what could be improved, the breakfast spread should offer varieties of food every single day. We pretty much ate the same thing for 4 days. Was also expecting some local food for an example bakso and were disappointed that it wasn’t served Ordering a taxi is also convenient, the hotel staff will assist you by ordering the taxi and alert you when it arrives. All you need to do is to inform them where you would like to go. We had one bad experience, we waited for our taxi for quite awhile only to realize that some other hotel guest took our ride and the hotel staff wasn’t aware. We were hungry and are late for dinner. Would appreciate if the hotel staff stays a little more attentive on this score as we are traveling with small children

Over all stay was pleasant. all expectation are met. staff were nice, i would say hospitality feels nicer than last visit. Although property needs to have better maintenance, small little detail like scratches on walls, its not mandatory, but it would be nicer. and cleanliness too. i always bring floor sanitary wipes for every hotel, and sofitell is not really on the clean side, hairs, and small debris is visible. But all the housekeeping staff are helpfull and nice though
