"Surprisingly quiet and relaxing in the middle of the Sultanahmet area very close to the Çemberlitas tramway station. Very close to all amenities and only a 5 min walking distance to the Grand Bazaar. The staff has always been exceptionally courteous and accommodating. Thank you for the great Türk kahvesi and çay! The WIFi is excellent which was very important for me. The wood floors, the tiny but nicely decorated rooms, the reception area everything just was perfect. The hotel is sparkly clean. Thank you for accommodating me, Omar! I can't wait to come back again"

"A comfortable hotel in an excellent location on the edge of the old town at Sultanahmet. All the popular sights are within a short walk of the hotel. The Blue Mosque is only a 5 minute walk away. Our good quality room was spacious enough, characterful, cosy, clean, well lit, with an opening window with views of the mosque. Room heating was excellent, and the bathroom was clean and functional. Breakfast was served in a very characterful room – it has its own archaeological excavations! The breakfast was tasty with a reasonable selection of food and drinks. The only thing that puzzled us was why the only bread toaster in the breakfast room that was obviously faulty (and the staff knew this) was not replaced. Even after our fourth day there it continued to frustrate customers and billow black smoke. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, but we did not take up their suggestion of where to go for seafood. There are so many places around near the Galata Bridge that it hardly seems necessary to be recommending a particular restaurant to customers. We found that the Galata Bridge is an interesting comfortable walk from the hotel. The atmosphere around the bridge is excellent. Hundreds of people were eating 5 Lira fish sandwiches on the waterfront. We did too and they were delicious. Suggestion for a second seafood meal: Walk right across the bridge and immediately turn left into the local fish market. There are several cafes amongst the fish stalls that serve excellent, freshly cooked sardines and larger fish, along with big fresh salads, all at an inexpensive price. We certainly recommend the Acra Hotel as an excellent value for money place to stay in a perfect location in Sultanahmet with so many interesting things to see a comfortable walk away. We never had to use taxis while staying in Sultanahmet. "

"Great location, only a short walk from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Sultanahmet tram station. The staff helped us make online reservations for our bus tickets to Göreme (it’s hard if you don’t know Turkish). The hostel is cleaned every day so no worries about cleanliness. The only downside is the lack of cheap food options available around the hostel since it’s located in such prime location, but the prices are still reasonable so it wasn’t that big a deal."
