“A Surprising Gem in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur – Exceeded Expectations!”
I didn’t have high expectations for Ibis hotels, but my stay in Malaysia completely changed my perspective! I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-equipped this hotel was. The room was spacious, featuring a large working desk, a fridge, a dedicated space for hanging clothes, and enough room to fully open two large suitcases and two small ones. The view from our room was stunning, especially at night. Having Netflix on the digital TV was a great touch, adding to the overall comfort and entertainment of our stay. Initially, we encountered a small hiccup with the A/C not being strong enough, but after a quick call to the front desk, they fixed it instantly—thanks to their centralized system. It cooled down in no time! While they don’t provide an ironing board in the room, there’s a designated area on the first floor for ironing, which was fine for us. They also have washing machines on the same floor, but you’ll need to pay to use them. The bathroom was impressively large, with great water pressure. The only minor issue was the showerhead being a bit low, but that was easily adjustable. I loved the convenience of the built-in pumps for shampoo and body wash, which smelled amazing, and best of all—they have a bidet! A thoughtful touch was the two large jars of drinking water and complimentary slippers in the room. The Best Part? The Location! The hotel is literally right at Jalan Alor Food Street—step out of the lobby, and you’re there! Despite being in such a lively area, our room was completely soundproof, allowing for restful nights after indulging in the incredible street food. There are also plenty of excellent massage places nearby, and I highly recommend the Thai massage spot just around the corner—it was a lifesaver after climbing Batu Caves. We only stayed for two nights, but it was truly an unforgettable experience. Without a doubt, I’d stay here again!
